Words will not be available in my limited vocabulary to define the magnitude of what God did this weekend at NVMC. We had the grand privilege to host Eddie James Ministries and they indeed came to minister. When the testimony came forth from the group it struck the heart of our church as the similar stories ring throughout the congregation... to say the least we have a kindred spirit with this ministry.
NVMC was the hub for the spirit of God to dwell this weekend and we were successful in "impacting the heart of the city" as countless lives were transformed. I was especially blessed watching people break free in there expression of worship. People just didn't care they wanted to praise and Worship the God that has delivered them, healed them, and brought them out of so much stuff... Let us never lose our passion of worship!
Many times it is easy to lose focus on what God called us to do when we are surrounded by a negative world. Sometimes it seems as though people are standing on the sidelines waiting for us to fail. Well, I will be the first to admit we have failures from time to time but I also will testify of the goodness of the Lord that enables us to turn failures into victory.
This morning as I looked at our full 9 am service and packed (Standing room only) 11 am service I was reminded that God is building this church and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it. Even though we are not perfect, even though I am not perfect we are able to thrive in a negative world because "ITS GOD'S CHURCH" and He is using us to build it but only he can perfect it. So yes NVMC is not perfect and I'm not perfect but one thing for sure is God show's up at NVMC and Freedom is in this house.
I am proud of my church... I am pumped about our future as I know it is bright and God is using us to make a difference one life at a time.
