Vision Basketball season has officially come to an end. This is our second year hosting our own league and just as last year it was a huge success.
As the season began it seemed as My team "Pastors Picks" would certainly repeat as we dominated the first half of the season going undefeated but the times would certainly change as Keno's green team would send us into a tail spin after upsetting us winning their first game of the season. From this point we would only win one more game... this was a tragedy.
The Holy Rollers would then rise into spotlight as their fan support increased so did the performance of the players. A few games ago my team had them defeated when Pator Don Cato pulled his signature shot... that's right the buzzer beater king put a dagger in our hearts as we were fefeated. It was at this time I realized the destiny of this team. They would cruise to win the regular season title and enter the tournament as the number one seed and the overwhelming favorite to win the Championship.
This past Sunday the Holy Rollers would have a test from Justin Beelers squad in the semi-finals and would meet a surprising opponent in Daniel Franklins Squad. Somehow this team managed not to self destruct and came to play. We had a promising championship game.
Early in the game Daniel's squad was actually in control of the game but as time kept ticking it would become evident the extra games played to reach the championship would take it's tole on them as shots began falling short and defense faded.
At the end of the game the Holy Rollers would role and ultimately cut down the nets as tournament Champs! This team showed great unity and functioned beautifully as a team all season and without a doubt they are the best team!
Congrats to all the players and to coach Robby for an incredible season!
